This book combines both chronology and theme in an attempt to show what life was like in Fingal during the revolutionary period. In the years 1912 to 1923, Ireland experienced the upheaval of World War One, grappled with the 1913 Lockout, and then dealt with the 1916 Easter Rising, the War of Independence and a short but bitter Civil War.
